Ixia Joins Carrier Ethernet Ecosystem – September 5, 2007

Ixia has joined Nortel’s Carrier Ethernet Ecosystem initiative as a key test solution supplier. Ixia and Nortel will cooperate to ensure cross-vendor compatibility with new protocols for Carrier Ethernet deployments including PBB and PBB-TE.

Nortel considering acquisitions in IPTV, VoIP and enterprise markets – August 6, 2007

Canadian telecoms equipment manufacturer Nortel has started discussions with potential takeover targets in key markets such as IPTV, VoIP and enterprise in order to expand its reach, according to a Reuters report citing an interview with CEO Mike Zafirovski.

Irdeto Expands IPTV Relationship with Nortel – November 7, 2006
