The Open IPTV Forum signed up three new members this week.
Cisco Systems, SmartLabs LLC and Bouygues Telecom joined the Forum, which brings together network operators, content and service providers, infrastructure providers, and consumer electronics manufacturers to develop open standards for IPTV technologies.

The Open IPTV forum has welcomed four new members who want to develop an open set of specifications for IPTV: British Telecom, Netgem, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and Pirelli Broadband Solutions.

Swiss system integrator, Metrosystems, has opted to make use of ECI Telecom’s 9700 Series Carrier Ethernet Switch Router (CESR).
The first installation is already in place in Metrosystems hometown of Wil.
