HaiVision Systems Inc. announces that today at the annual meeting of the CUA in Edmonton, Canada, the industry leading MAKO-HD video encoder/decoder technology is being used to transmit live surgical stereoscopic 3D high definition 1080i video from Intuitive Surgical’s daVinci S robotic surgical system.

SMPTE/VSF VidTrans Conference to Highlight IP-TV – September 13, 2006
The “SMPTE Digital Content Connection and VSF VidTrans 2007Joint Conference” will focus on IP Television and will be held at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando, Florida, from January 21 to 24, 2007. The selection of topics comes as no surprise in light of market intelligence group iSuppli’s recent report that the number of subscribers to IPTV services will hit 63 million by 2010, with forecasts putting overall revenue from IPTV services at $26 billion by the same year.
