TelcoTV Asia 2009

TelcoTV Asia 2009, scheduled
for October 13-14 in Shanghai, will be jointly hosted by Shanghai Municipal Administration
of Culture, Radio, Film & Television and Shanghai Economy & Information Technology
Commission at the Hyatt on the Bund Shanghai Hotel. The conference and exhibition,
which will be part of a government-run information week held during the same time,
has already confirmed more than 25 speakers from leading operators around the world.

Officials from SCRFT and SHEITC will speak at the TelcoTV Asia, presenting their blueprint
for the development of China’s multimedia and information technology industry and
related policies.

The Chinese central government recently announced a new policy encouraging the joint
entrance of both the broadcasting and telecommunications industries into mobile, IPTV,
and other video opportunities. Leading operators will be attending TelcoTV Asia, looking
for new technologies to help achieve this ambitious plan and searching for appropriate
business models as well.
