One of the world largest manufacturers of televisions, Sharp, is getting onto the 3D TV bandwagon to compete with its rivals, LG, Samsung and Sony.
The Sharp 3D Television will be launched in the summer but will not be available in the UK until the end of the year.
This launch should coincide with the much awaited launch of the 3D Channel from BSkyB.
The jury is still out as to whether or not 3D TV is going to be a major hit or flop. The trouble is content.
HD Ready televisions have been around for a long time and yet the content is just about reaching the level where consumers are becoming interested.
If this works out the same for 3D TV then the roll out is going to take a number of years and will not happen overnight.
