The UK based set-top-box component business, Elonics, has announced that it will be supplying equipment to the Taiwan digital TV service provider CNet.
The arrangement will see CNet taking the Elonics E4000 multi standard silicon tuner for its CCT 770 terrestrial digital TV set-top-box, which comes with full internet access for instant access to online TV.
The set top box will come with HDMI 1080p connectivity, a webcam, access to YouTube, radio and of course video on demand (VoD).
This set-top-box has already been demonstrated at the recent CeBIT2010 expo in Germany.
The unit is smaller than expected and this is all down to the small size of the Elonics digital TV tuner.
